FURTHER INFORMATION

What are injectable fillers?

Injectable Fillers are used to fill out wrinkles, lines and furrows giving you a younger appearance.. When injected beneath the skin, fillers plump up creased and lined areas of the face. Fillers can be used to add fullness to the lips and cheeks. Injectabe fillers can be used for deep smile lines, nasolabial furrows (lines running from the nose to the mouth), crows feet, smoker's lines (perioral lines), frown lines, marionette lines (lines that "drag down" the corners of the mouth), facial scars, acne scars and cheek depressions.

Does the treatment hurt?

Fillers are injected using a very fine needle. There is minimal pain associated with the injection. Topical or local anaesthetic may be required and you can resume normal activities immediately. The treatment time is between 15-30 minutes depending on the amount of injection sites.

Will I see immediate results?

The results of the injectable fillers is immediate. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.

How long does an injectable filler last?

You can choose to have injectable fillers that are either permanent or temporary. Temporary injectable fillers can last from 6-9 months.

Are injectable fillers safe?

Allergic reaction can be a risk with some fillers. This used to be common with the old collagen fillers. The fillers that we use at Allcare Laser and Cosmetic Centre are based on hyaluronic acid. This is a substance that is normally found in your body, therefore an allergic reaction is extremely rare.

Are there any risks?

Risks not necessarily related to allergies include infection, open sores, skin peeling, scarring and lumpiness, which may persist over the treated area. Reports of these problems are very rare.
